Last couple weeks

Sorry everyone, I’ve been a little bit AWOL lately. Here’s a few from the last couple weeks.

My new lamp that I bought pretty cheap from Target.com

Did you know that seahorses are the only animal in that world that the males are the ones to carry and birth the children?

This is one of the capitals on a column in the south transept of Wells Cathedral in England. The image was in my medieval art history textbook and it was so adorable that I had to draw it. If you can’t tell, its a man with a toothache, his finger in his mouth.

Early morning wheat toast. This was a habit I learned from my Dad, leaning the two pieces of toast up against each other so that they don’t get soggy from condensation on the plate.

A quick sketch of a guy in my Biological Anthropology class. He was sleeping and his head kept going back and forth, but it wasn’t the kind where your head droops onto your chest – it was the other angle, flipping all the way back so that it would go back at a 90 degree angle to his body, if that makes sense. It was weird. And it went back and up, literally, every three seconds. I started to get dizzy just watching him. Now, in his defense, the professor is incredibly boring.

Peanut project

Project for my ceramics class: create a replica of a peanut, x10. Here are a couple of pics of it unglazed. The actual peanut is in the first shot.

The inside had to be hollowed out, and mine didn’t end up staying together along the faultline. So I decided to leave it in two pieces and also make peanuts.

“This is our moment, this is our time.”
